What is the Technical Advisory Group (TAG)

The RTSP Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is convened for the express purpose of reviewing the work products, data and recommendations developed by the RTSP study team during the planning process.  The TAG members will be responsible for providing the team with timely information, briefing their respective organizations and informing the team of current transportation plans, proposals and operations which are relevant to the development of the RTSP 2040.

Who is on the TAG?

The RTSP TAG is comprised of transportation representatives from: the WMATA Compact Jurisdictions; the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG); regional jurisdictions; the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia Departments of Transportation; National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC); Federal Transit Administration (FTA); Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC); and theVirginia Department of Rail Transportation (DRPT).

How often does the TAG Meet?

The TAG will convene approximately every 6-8 weeks to review and comment on work products developed by the RTSP Study Team.
